Heart of House Specialist - Steward

About the role

Heart of House Specialists – also known as Stewards – support essential hotel operations by maintaining cleanliness across kitchen, food‑and‑beverage, and laundry areas. They prepare fresh linen and spotless dining ware, operate cleaning equipment, and transport items throughout the property while upholding safety and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen, food‑and‑beverage, and laundry areas to hotel standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, and linen washers/dryers.
• Transport dishware, utensils, and linens between departments.
• Maintain cleaning tools and ensure they are in good working order.
• Assist other departments with ad‑hoc cleaning requests.
• Ensure compliance with hotel quality standards.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager.

Required profile

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Commitment to safety, uniform standards, and professional communication.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform.
• Develop positive working relationships with colleagues.
