Heart of House Specialist (Steward) – Staff Cafeteria

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist (Steward) works in the staff cafeteria to support essential hotel operations. You will handle cleaning, linen, and dishware across multiple departments, ensuring a safe and spotless environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest and staff use.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, and linen washers/dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens throughout the hotel, supporting kitchen, food‑and‑beverage, and laundry areas.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain professional appearance, uniform, and clear communication with team members.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly to the manager.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and reach overhead or below the knees while bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
