Heavy Truck Mechanic (Prime Movers & Tankers)

About the role

A company in Ajman is looking for an experienced Heavy Truck Mechanic specializing in prime movers (Scania, Volvo, MAN) to maintain, repair and overhaul its fleet of heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, hands-on repair experience and can work independently to keep vehicles running.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in heavy prime movers
• Perform scheduled maintenance: oil changes, brake inspections and tire checks
• Inspect and repair engine, transmission, clutch, suspension, steering and brakes
• Troubleshoot using diagnostic tools (Jaltest)
• Repair fuel pumps, injectors, alternators and gearboxes
• Maintain accurate service records and report completed work
• Repair Scully systems, loading/unloading valves and Robin PTO pumps
• Test battery control systems, install and maintain GPS devices and camera surveillance systems

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in tanker maintenance
• Experience in RTA truck passing
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills for heavy vehicles
• Understanding of fuel handling safety standards
