Heavy Vehicle Driver – Water Tanker

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services is seeking a reliable, safety‑focused Heavy Vehicle Driver to operate water tanker trucks across Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas. The role involves transporting water and other liquids while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy‑duty water tanker vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, document mechanical issues, and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, fuel consumption, delivery times and cargo documentation.
• Load and unload water tanker cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure fastening.
• Navigate routes using GPS and route‑planning tools to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
• Communicate delivery status and any operational concerns with dispatchers, customers and team members.
• Comply with UAE traffic regulations, weight restrictions and hazardous‑material handling procedures.

Required profile

• Valid UAE commercial driver’s licence for heavy vehicles (Category 4 or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of professional experience operating heavy vehicles or tanker trucks, preferably with water‑tanker experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, basic troubleshooting and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of UAE traffic laws, road‑safety regulations and hazardous‑material transport requirements.
• Physical fitness to perform loading/unloading tasks and extended driving periods.

Required skills

• Heavy‑vehicle operation and water‑tanker cargo handling.
• Use of GPS navigation systems.
• Familiarity with logistics software.
