High School Business & Economics Teacher (American Curriculum)

About the role

Dubai American Academy is seeking experienced High School Business and Economics teachers to join its American curriculum and IB programmes starting August 2027. The successful candidates will inspire confident, curious learners and contribute to the school’s tradition of academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Business & Economics lessons to high‑school students following the school’s curriculum and standards.
• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that foster critical thinking and a love for the subject.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and ensure curriculum continuity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and maintain open communication about student progress.
• Contribute to enrichment activities and ongoing professional learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, State License, or equivalent) specializing in Business or Economics.
• Proven experience teaching Business or Economics at high‑school level, preferably within an American or IB curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry‑based learning and practical Business & Economics instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and outstanding student outcomes.
