Homeroom Teacher – Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School (AY 2026/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Homeroom Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School, an American‑curriculum mixed‑gender primary school in Abu Dhabi. The role starts in the Academic Year 2026/27 and focuses on delivering high‑quality, inclusive learning that enables every child to make maximum progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the American curriculum and cater for the full ability range within the class.
• Assess, observe and record student progress using Target Tracker and use data to inform further planning and interventions.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, acting as a positive role model and promoting self‑control and independence.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external professionals (e.g., speech therapists) to support student development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing feedback on progress through conferences and other meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for teaching the whole child, high professionalism, and a clean DBS/police check.
• Willingness to reside in the same Emirate as the school.
