Homeroom Teacher Cycle 1 – Early Childhood

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Homeroom Teacher for Cycle 1 (ages 5‑8) to join our international school community in the UAE. The successful candidate will deliver an engaging, inquiry‑based curriculum and foster a supportive learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum EYFS/Key Stage 1, American Common Core, or IB PYP.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative data and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Integrate educational technology such as interactive whiteboards and online learning platforms into daily lessons.
• Maintain effective classroom management and positive behavior guidance.
• Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant subject plus a PGCE.
• Valid teaching license/certification recognized in the UAE.
• 2‑3 years of full‑time primary teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
• Experience with early childhood or primary education (Key Stage 1/Grades 1‑2) is highly desirable.
• All qualifications must be attested and legalized per UAE Ministry of Education requirements.

Required skills

• High proficiency with interactive whiteboards.
• Strong command of G Suite for Education and Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience using online learning platforms and student information systems.
• Ability to analyse assessment data to inform instruction.
