Hostess - Food & Beverage

About the role

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is looking for a Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team. The Hostess welcomes guests to the restaurant and seats them according to their wishes, reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• During opening: set up table top items (tent cards) and ensure they are clean and in good repair, arrange the seating plan according to the reservation book and the Restaurant Manager, clean chair and sofa cushions, set up the hostess desk and greet and seat guests courteously.
• Assist with service as required by the Restaurant Manager and handle telephone bookings and inquiries.
• Keep the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager informed of guest comments and complaints.
• During closing: collect and clean table top items, keep menus, drinks lists and guest materials clean and undamaged, and assist in maintaining guest history records.
• Be present in the restaurant during service hours, attend briefings, meetings and training sessions, and keep the uniform neat and personal grooming in line with standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred; resort experience is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service and professional attitude.
• Fluency in Russian is a strong advantage; proficiency in other languages is preferred.
