Hostess – Lobby Lounge

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Hostess for its Lobby Lounge. The role involves managing reservations, welcoming guests and ensuring a memorable experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take and manage reservations via phone, email, online platforms and in‑person, updating the reservation system accurately.
• Reconfirm reservations and coordinate seating arrangements with management before service periods.
• Welcome and escort guests, providing information about the outlet’s concept, food and beverage offerings and promotions.
• Assist with operational tasks in the outlet under the guidance of managers as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a host in a luxury hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work long hours with operational excellence.

Required skills

• Proficient phone etiquette and clear communication of guest details.
• Familiarity with Table Management System procedures (preferred).
