Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor (Public Area)

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai is looking for a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor (Public Area). The supervisor inspects guest rooms, public areas and the pool after they have been cleaned by Housekeepers to ensure quality standards, and acts as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to check quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise room cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
• Coordinate the work of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry, and document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute and communicate changes in room assignments, and brief the next shift on issues.
• Complete required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching staff.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report maintenance problems and safety hazards, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Provide professional, courteous service to guests and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds, handle a loaded housekeeping cart, stand or sit for long periods and use computers and point-of-sale systems.
