Hotel HVAC Engineer – Guest Comfort & Maintenance

About the role

The Hotel Host – Engineering (HVAC) ensures that all heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems operate smoothly to provide optimal comfort for guests and staff. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of chillers, air handling units, fan coil units and related controls within a busy hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems and pumps.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and guest complaints, repairing or replacing belts, motors, filters, thermostats and controls.
• Monitor chilled water systems, track equipment performance and keep accurate shift logbooks.
• Support installation, commissioning and renovation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
• Manage energy consumption, propose efficiency initiatives and ensure compliance with safety, fire and refrigerant regulations.
• Participate in emergency response, assisting with breakdowns, power outages and evacuation procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Trade Certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems and Building Management Systems (BMS).
