Hotel Painter – Interior & Exterior Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will maintain the visual standards of Desert Islands Resort & Spa by performing painting, touch‑up and decorative works across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces. The role supports the Engineering team while ensuring minimal disruption to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out painting, repainting, touch‑up and decorative works throughout the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and repairing imperfections before painting.
• Apply appropriate paints, coatings and finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment, keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and report major surface damage to the Engineering Supervisor.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Painting, Building Maintenance, Construction or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of painting experience, preferably in a hotel, resort or commercial setting.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

• Basic building maintenance and repair knowledge.
