Hotel Sales Manager

About the role

Southern Sun is seeking a proactive Hotel Sales Manager to drive corporate, government, group and MICE business in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for expanding the hotel’s market share, building long‑term client relationships and delivering revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, solicit and secure new business through daily sales activities, client meetings and networking.
• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of accounts, maximizing revenue and market share.
• Conduct regular sales calls and face‑to‑face meetings to convert leads into profitable business.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to uncover opportunities.
• Develop and execute sales initiatives, client activations, familiarisation visits and experiences.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries and guide them from initial contact to conversion.
• Maintain accurate client, competitor and market intelligence in the hotel’s CRM system.
• Prepare sales activity reports, production analysis and account plans to support commercial strategy.
• Provide accurate revenue forecasts for weekly revenue and commercial meetings.
• Network within business communities, associations and industry events to generate opportunities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar hotel sales role.
• Proven sales record and an established network within the Abu Dhabi corporate, government and business community.
• Experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star international hotel environment.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business, grow existing accounts and meet sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi hospitality market, especially corporate, government, diplomatic and MICE segments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse market trends and competitor activity.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Experience using hotel sales CRM systems and preparing sales forecasts and production reports.
