Housekeeping Supervisor - TP

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a team of housekeepers to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment throughout the hospital. This role ensures compliance with infection‑control, JCI standards and the hospital’s sustainability initiatives while supporting efficient daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and assign daily housekeeping activities across wards, clinics and public areas, adjusting workloads as needed.
• Monitor and enforce JCI and infection‑control codes to guarantee a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Manage inventories of linens, cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment, placing timely orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct periodic and special cleaning assignments, ensuring high‑quality execution.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing feedback, corrective actions and recognition.
• Promote and oversee sustainable housekeeping practices, including waste segregation, water and energy conservation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Minimum six years of progressive housekeeping experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of JCI standards, infection‑control practices and hospital housekeeping operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, and the ability to work with diverse nationalities.

• Proficiency in inventory management and chemical safety procedures.
• Ability to plan, schedule and allocate resources to optimise productivity.
