Housing Officer

About the role

The Housing Officer will manage employee accommodation at SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences, ensuring safe, comfortable, and compliant living spaces for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assign suitable accommodation to employees based on needs, preferences, and availability.
• Conduct regular property inspections, arrange repairs, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for housing inquiries and support employee concerns.
• Manage utility invoices and accommodation‑related expenses.
• Enforce housing rules, overnight stay, and pets policies while ensuring legal compliance.
• Organise community events to promote social interaction among staff.
• Maintain accurate records of housing allocations, tenant information, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Building Management for seamless operations.
• Oversee colleague transportation between accommodation and hotel.
• Ensure fire safety measures, including clear exits, regular equipment testing, and fire drills.

Required profile

• Understanding of local housing laws, regulations, and standards.
• Experience in managing accommodation facilities, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with employees and stakeholders.
• Ability to handle conflicts or disputes diplomatically.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense management for accommodation services.
• Attention to detail in maintaining well‑furnished, fully equipped housing units.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and keep accurate records.
• Awareness of cultural differences and ability to accommodate diverse employee needs.
• Collaboration skills with facilities, finance, and other departments.
• Commitment to confidentiality regarding employee personal information.
