HSE Director - Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons is looking for an HSE Director to support its Abu Dhabi business. The role provides senior professional oversight, technical guidance, training and support to one or more Global Business Units and project-based HSE Managers, receiving broad objectives from the Corporate Vice President of SH&E.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, communicate and oversee the Environment, Safety, Health and Risk Program (ESHARP) at all project locations
• Assist business unit managers on health and safety regulations, reporting requirements, safety training and related issues
• Monitor the effectiveness of health and safety programs, conduct investigations and comply with internal reporting, recordkeeping and workers' compensation procedures
• Lead or oversee investigations of serious incidents, near-misses and non-compliances, ensuring root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and organizational learning
• Coach, mentor and manage project HSE Managers and other safety professionals across locations
• Integrate HSE considerations into project planning, design reviews, constructability reviews and risk assessments
• Collect and maintain safety information and statistics, and inform senior management of significant health and safety developments
• Support business development with proposal data and train all levels of the organization in key safety programs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a closely related field (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years of related work experience in safety and health
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Supervisory experience managing safety professionals on multiple project locations

Required skills

• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of domestic and international safety standards
• Ability to supervise and manage safety professionals domestically and internationally
