HSE Environmental Engineer – Site Projects

About the role

The HSE Environmental Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental requirements on construction sites in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE regulations, and international environmental standards while supporting overall site safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE and environmental requirements.
• Implement the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and HSE procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, environmental audits, and risk assessments.
• Oversee waste management, hazardous material handling, dust, noise, air quality, water pollution, and spill control.
• Prepare and maintain HSE/environmental reports and records.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders on environmental matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, HSE, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE/environmental management experience on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE environmental regulations and construction HSE requirements.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
