HSE Inspector – Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Inspector to support tenant fit‑out projects in DIFC, Dubai. The role ensures all site activities are performed safely, complying with project HSE requirements, approved procedures and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular HSE inspections across ongoing fit‑out projects, identifying unsafe acts, conditions and non‑compliance.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors for adherence to approved HSE procedures, site rules and fit‑out requirements.
• Verify work permits are valid and appropriate controls are in place before work starts.
• Review and monitor compliance with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
• Oversee high‑risk activities such as hot works, work at height, electrical works, lifting and MEP installations.
• Perform daily site walks, report violations and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Coordinate with fit‑out engineers, site inspectors, tenants and contractors to resolve HSE issues.
• Support incident investigations, near‑miss reporting and emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Health, Safety & Environment or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Proven HSE experience in fit‑out, construction, MEP or facilities management projects.
• Strong knowledge of Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) systems and ability to review RAMS.
• Excellent reporting, documentation and contractor coordination skills.
