HSE Officer – Heat Stress & Occupational Safety

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to lead heat‑stress prevention and occupational safety initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on monitoring workplace conditions, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety protocols across designated operational areas.
• Implement and support the Heat Stress Intervention Plan in high‑temperature work zones.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, including focused checks in potrooms, baking furnaces, outdoor areas, and other heat‑exposed locations.
• Identify early signs of heat stress, ensure hydration stations, rest areas, and cool rooms are properly maintained.
• Respond promptly to safety incidents and emergencies, delivering toolbox talks and pre‑job briefings.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
• Prepare weekly Heat Stress Intervention Plan summary reports and collaborate with shift supervisors to align work planning with hot and humid conditions.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and ISO management system audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HSE experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, workplace safety, and HSE requirements for industrial facilities.
• Proven ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills for training, briefings, and reporting.
