HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will develop, implement and monitor health, safety and environmental management systems for WeOne’s business units and project sites across the UAE. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and client‑specific standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for structural, electrical, operational and environmental hazards and propose mitigation measures.
• Develop, maintain and update HSE policies, procedures, manuals and guidelines aligned with operational needs.
• Perform regular safety inspections, audits, site walk‑throughs and manage Permit‑to‑Work systems.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure safety‑critical systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, HVAC, emergency lighting) are functional.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, OSHA standards and environmental laws; act as internal auditor for ISO 45001/14001.
• Plan, deliver and facilitate HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental factors, manage hazardous material handling, waste disposal and ergonomics programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of HSE experience in a similar industrial environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH Level 3, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Strong knowledge of UAE safety and environmental legislation.
• Proven ability to lead audits, risk assessments and safety training.
