HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing health, safety and environmental policies across ADNOC project sites in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with project managers, supervisors and contractors to embed safety into daily operations and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and enforce HSE policies, procedures and standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and accidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training sessions, toolbox talks and safety inductions for employees and contractors.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control and spill prevention measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Mandatory NEBOSH certification and strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001 and local HSE regulations.
• Willingness to work on‑site at various ADNOC locations and to work shifts or extended hours as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA standards.

• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Competence with MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
