HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead health, safety and environmental compliance across infrastructure maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to ADOSH‑SF, AD Ports, DMT standards and UAE legislation while fostering a safe workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site HSE inspections, verify Permit‑to‑Work systems and review risk assessments, method statements and job safety analyses.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings and training for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor traffic management, environmental practices and waste handling in line with ITC manuals.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate HSE matters with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities and subcontractors, and participate in audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid OSHAD/ADOSH‑SF Registered Safety Practitioner certification.
• IRCA Certified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor.
• Minimum 8 years HSE experience, including 5 years in port or marine operations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ADOSH‑SF requirements and UAE HSE legislation.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and HSE audits.
