HSE Site Inspector – Power Generation (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Site Inspector to join the Owner’s Engineer team for a confidential power‑generation IPP project in Dubai. The role focuses on daily safety supervision, inspections, permit‑to‑work monitoring and ensuring contractor compliance throughout construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily HSE inspections, reporting unsafe acts, conditions and non‑compliances.
• Monitor high‑risk activities such as lifting, hot works, confined spaces, work at height, excavation, electrical works and commissioning.
• Verify implementation of permits‑to‑work, toolbox talks, risk assessments and method statements.
• Check PPE usage, housekeeping, emergency preparedness, site access control and barricading.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Prepare HSE inspection reports and contribute to weekly/monthly HSE reporting.
• Coordinate with HSE Engineer, Site Manager, EPC contractor and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, HSE or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of HSE inspection experience on construction or industrial projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in power, utilities, industrial, EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC HSE regulations, permit‑to‑work procedures and site safety practices.

Required skills
