HSSE Officer – Automotive (UAE National) – Dubai

About the role

The HSSE Officer will enforce and continuously improve Health, Safety, Security and Environmental standards across Al Futtaim's automotive sites in Dubai. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, conducts inspections, manages emergency preparedness and maintains accurate safety documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification and immediate corrective actions.
• Lead loss‑prevention initiatives, aiming for a 45% reduction in preventable incidents.
• Participate in HSSE compliance audits and security operation checks, maintaining target competency scores.
• Develop and supervise site‑specific emergency response plans, fire safety inspections and evacuation drills.
• Maintain up‑to‑date HSE records, certifications, equipment inventories and MSDS documentation.
• Monitor third‑party safety compliance, enforce Permit‑to‑Work policies and support licensing renewals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sustainability or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in HSSE or related security roles.
• Fluency in English (read/write/speak) and Arabic (read/speak).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping abilities.
