Hub Cargo Officer (Full‑time, Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Hub Cargo Officer supports Etihad’s cargo warehouse operations on a shift basis, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inbound and outbound shipments while meeting performance targets such as on‑time departure, Cargo IQ, and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inbound quality, validate weight and volume, and prevent stow loss.
• Optimize onward connections, maximize revenue, and manage pre‑alerts, FWB/FHL, and special handling codes.
• Implement best practices with service providers to reduce operational discrepancies and improve capacity utilization.
• Oversee red‑route monitoring, space optimisation, and load swaps using cargo spot and load planning tools.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and dangerous‑goods regulations, including proper ULD lashing and PPE use.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to GHA staff, fostering cross‑skill functionality.

Required profile

• Minimum high‑school education with specialised cargo handling training.
• Successful completion of cargo, dangerous‑goods, live‑animals, aircraft weight‑and‑balance, and general cargo courses.
• At least three years of cargo operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of cargo handling processes, procedures and regulatory compliance.
