HVAC Engineer – Cleanroom & BMS

About the role

Julphar is looking for an HVAC engineer in Ras Al Khaimah who owns the technical performance of the BMS/EMS and HVAC plant, keeping cleanrooms and controlled areas validated and GMP compliant. The role covers BMS/EMS ownership, troubleshooting, maintenance, change control and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical system owner of the BMS/EMS (e.g. Siemens Desigo CC): configuration, alarms, trends, PID tuning, backups and user access.
• Lead troubleshooting of HVAC failures and environmental excursions, drive root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Manage preventive maintenance, calibration, HEPA/airflow testing and shutdowns for HVAC and BMS/EMS.
• Own change controls, deviations and SOPs, support IQ/OQ/PQ and computerised system validation.
• Ensure BMS/EMS data integrity in line with 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11.
• Contribute to projects, supervise contractors and vendors, and identify energy savings without GMP impact.
• Train operators and technicians, act as on-call escalation point and represent HVAC/BMS in audits and inspections.
• Enforce permit-to-work, LOTO and EHS requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Control Engineering.
• 5-8 years in HVAC/BMS, including at least 3 years in a pharmaceutical or GMP facility.
• Strong problem solving, technical writing and team leadership; fluent English, Arabic an advantage.

Required skills

• Hands-on BMS programming (Siemens Desigo CC preferred; Honeywell, JCI or Schneider accepted).
• Knowledge of EU GMP Annex 1, ISO 14644, GAMP 5, ALCOA+ and cleanroom HVAC.
