Team Leader - Production (OSD Plant)

About the role

Julphar is hiring a Team Leader for its OSD plant in Ras Al Khaimah. The role oversees and manages production activities, ensures compliance with GMP, regulatory guidelines and safety protocols, coordinates with cross-functional teams to meet production targets, maintains product quality and optimises operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise OSD production (granulation, compression, coating, packaging), keep to production schedules and coordinate with supply chain, planning and warehouse teams
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, WHO, USFDA, MHRA and other standards, work with QA on in-process checks and handle deviations, change controls and investigations
• Mentor operators, technicians and junior executives, train them on SOPs, GMP and safety, and monitor performance
• Keep production equipment calibrated and maintained, and improve processes and costs
• Ensure workplace safety, risk assessments and proper waste handling
• Prepare the plant for regulatory inspections and audits, including batch manufacturing records, SOPs and validation protocols

Required profile

• B.Pharm, M.Pharm, M.Sc. in Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry or a related field
• 6-10 years in OSD pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Ability to work in a controlled manufacturing environment, possibly in shifts

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance and safety guidelines
• Experience operating and troubleshooting OSD equipment such as granulators, tablet presses, coating machines and blenders
• Leadership, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills
