HVAC Inspector

About the role

Infinium Associates is seeking a dedicated HVAC Inspector for a full‑time, on‑site position in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring that HVAC installations meet design, quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, supports, controls and workmanship on‑site.
• Review approved drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning requirements.
• Witness testing, balancing, pressure testing, functional checks and system commissioning activities.
• Identify defects, non‑conformities and incomplete work; document findings and monitor corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, checklists, site reports, photographic evidence and hand‑over documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers and project teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Support final inspections, snagging, close‑out and preparation of as‑built and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on knowledge of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, ductwork, chilled‑water piping, pumps, insulation and controls.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, schedules, equipment data sheets and inspection/test plans.
• Experience conducting installation inspections, witnessing pressure and leakage tests, and verifying testing, adjusting and balancing activities.
• Competence in identifying workmanship defects, preparing non‑conformance reports, tracking punch lists and verifying corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of construction quality procedures, health and safety requirements and project documentation.
