HVAC Technician

About the role

We are seeking an HVAC Technician to join the engineering team at St. Regis Dubai. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Conduct basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items, including replacing filters, bulbs, and switches.
• Execute lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, and clean work areas.
• Update HVAC schedules and temperature settings using computer systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders.
