Implementation Director

About the role

This position leads Visa’s enterprise transformation program for a major banking client in the UAE, overseeing the full client lifecycle from contract signing through delivery alignment, mobilization, go‑live and scaling. The role ensures executive stakeholder alignment, program governance, delivery quality and rapid time‑to‑value while collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, InfoSec and other internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end implementation of large‑scale payments and banking solutions, including certification of Jaywan and AEP Switch in the UAE.
• Maintain executive stakeholder relationships, define program governance structures and monitor delivery quality and timelines.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, InfoSec) to meet or exceed contractual commitments.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience (or equivalent advanced degree) in technology‑driven financial services, with a focus on large‑scale implementation and transformation projects.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑market projects on time and within scope using Agile, Lean or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience building and scaling high‑performing teams and mentoring staff.
• Strong ability to engage C‑level executives and ensure transparent communication throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required skills

• Implementation and certification of Jaywan and AEP Switch platforms.
• Cloud‑based microservice architectures, REST/JSON APIs and data streaming.
• Solutions architecture and software engineering expertise.
• Agile, Lean and hybrid project‑management methodologies.
