Import Clearance Executive at Fujairah Port

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Clearance Executive to manage end‑to‑end import clearance operations at Fujairah Port for a leading freight forwarding and logistics company in the UAE. The role involves ensuring timely, compliant release of customer cargo while coordinating with customs and port authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete import clearance process from vessel arrival to final cargo release and delivery.
• Prepare, verify and submit all import documentation, including Bill of Lading, Delivery Order, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Certificate of Origin.
• Process Bills of Entry and customs declarations, ensuring accurate HS‑code classification, valuation and duty calculation.
• Coordinate with UAE Customs, Fujairah Port, terminal operators, shipping lines and other authorities to obtain approvals, inspections and release cargo.
• Monitor container movements, free time, storage, detention and demurrage, taking actions to avoid unnecessary charges.
• Arrange transport with trucking partners, confirm proof of delivery and keep customers informed of shipment status.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of hands‑on experience in import clearance at Fujairah Port.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Customs procedures, regulations and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize time‑sensitive shipments and handle pressure.
• Immediate availability preferred and a valid UAE driving licence.
