Inclusion Assistant for Special Educational Needs

About the role

The Inclusion Assistant supports pupils with special educational needs at Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom and school activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom, aligning with their Individual Education Programme (IEP) goals.
• Prepare and adapt learning resources to differentiate the curriculum for identified students.
• Assist teachers with maintaining pupil records, monitoring progress, and reporting achievements.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists and other professionals to reinforce targeted skills.
• Promote independence by teaching clear strategies and supporting social and communication development.
• Participate in training sessions, professional meetings, and school activities such as trips and extracurricular events.

Required profile

• SEN qualification – Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years experience teaching or supporting students with special educational needs.
• Proficiency in English, the language used in the school curriculum.

Required skills

• Ability to prepare and adapt instructional materials.
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers and external specialists.
