Infectious Disease Specialist Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infectious Disease Specialist/Consultant to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating and preventing a wide range of infectious diseases while supporting multidisciplinary teams in complex cases.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic infectious diseases, including bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections.
• Provide consultation for hospital‑acquired and healthcare‑associated infections and support antimicrobial stewardship.
• Manage infections in immunocompromised and high‑risk patients and advise on infection prevention and control measures.
• Collaborate closely with microbiologists, intensivists, surgeons, oncologists and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits and maintain accurate medical records.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification with a postgraduate qualification in Infectious Diseases.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience, preferably with UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board or other Western qualifications.
• Strong experience in diagnosis and management of infectious diseases and knowledge of antimicrobial therapy.
• Excellent clinical judgment, patient management skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
