Installation Technician 2

About the role

The Installation Technician 2 will carry out AV installation tasks on AVI‑SPL projects across the United Arab Emirates, including cable pulling, terminations, rack fabrication and equipment layout. The role may also involve leading small crews and coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure project success.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cable pulls, terminations, rack fabrication, wiring and metal fabrication on site.
• Read and interpret system schematics, architectural and construction blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to solder, crimp connectors and install AV equipment.
• Test point‑to‑point cabling and verify system functionality.
• Lead Level 1 Technicians on less complex projects and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with other trades, manage equipment on site and handle client training.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; AVIXA CTS certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company standards.

Required skills

• Audio‑visual systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Low‑voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and conduit runs.
• Network infrastructure knowledge for IP‑based AV solutions.
• Use of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Test equipment operation and adherence to installation safety codes and standards.
