Insurance Specialist – Individual Medical

About the role

The role supports the end‑to‑end processing and servicing of Individual Medical Insurance policies. You will ensure accurate documentation, timely coordination with insurers, and smooth policy issuance for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day processing of policies from quotation through issuance and servicing.
• Obtain and review quotation options from insurers based on client requirements.
• Coordinate with insurers to secure quotations, approvals, policy documents and other required information within agreed timelines.
• Prepare and submit proposal forms, applications and supporting documents for policy issuance.
• Follow up on pending applications to ensure policies are issued within required turnaround times.
• Review issued policies for accuracy of premium, coverage, member details and policy dates.
• Process policy endorsements, including additions, deletions, amendments and other client‑requested changes.
• Support renewal processes by obtaining renewal terms, coordinating with insurers and communicating with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, applications, policies, endorsements and renewals in relevant systems.
• Coordinate with Accounts/Finance on premium payments, receipts and billing requirements where applicable.
