Interior Designer - Fit-Out Projects

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer for its fit-out company in Dubai. The designer conceptualizes, plans and executes interior design projects for residential, commercial and retail spaces, working with clients, architects and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients to understand their requirements, preferences, budget and timelines.
• Create mood boards, conceptual sketches and 3D renderings, and develop detailed design plans covering layouts, colour schemes, materials, lighting and furniture.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and project managers, and source and procure materials, furniture and accessories within budget.
• Review and approve samples, mock-ups and shop drawings.
• Supervise and inspect on-site work, resolve on-site issues and discrepancies between design and construction.
• Maintain client communication, advise on design trends, materials and sustainable practices, and prepare technical drawings and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in interior design, preferably in a fit-out or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes and construction processes.
• Excellent project management and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in design software and strong project coordination abilities.
