Interior Designer

About the role

An unnamed employer in Dubai is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with experience across residential, commercial and hospitality projects. The designer develops interior design concepts from the initial brief through detailed design and execution, meeting aesthetic, functional, technical and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts based on client requirements, briefs and budgets
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes, space plans, layouts and detailed design presentations
• Produce furniture, finishes, lighting, colour schemes and other interior elements
• Produce detailed drawings, specifications and design documentation, including 2D drawings and 3D renders
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and consultants
• Review shop drawings, material samples, finishes and mock-ups
• Select and coordinate furniture, fixtures, fittings, materials and accessories
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, technical requirements and project standards
• Present proposals to clients, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and support the team during implementation and handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field
• Several years of relevant interior design experience
• Strong portfolio showing residential, commercial and/or hospitality projects
• Good knowledge of construction and interior fit-out processes
• Strong communication, client-facing, and multi-project management skills

Required skills

• AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite
• Design presentations, technical drawings and material specifications
• Materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and spatial planning
