Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join a leading insurance company in the UAE. The role focuses on leading risk‑based audits, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Lead internal audit engagements across business and operational functions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, governance, and risk management processes.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE) regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare audit reports, present findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow up on audit observations and support continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA or CA are preferred.
• Proven experience as an Internal Audit Manager or in a similar role within a UAE insurance company.
• Current or recent experience in the UAE insurance sector is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk management and corporate governance.
• Familiarity with CBUAE regulations and the UAE insurance regulatory environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management and report‑writing skills.
