Interoperability Engineer

About the role

Mintlayer is building the next generation of cross‑chain financial rails. As an Interoperability Engineer you will design and operate the Fast Bridge that connects Mintlayer, Ethereum, and the ZK‑Thunder layer, enabling secure value transfer across chains in production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Fast Bridge architecture and all integration points between Mintlayer, Ethereum, and ZK‑Thunder.
• Design and implement secure bridge relay mechanisms with explicit threat modelling.
• Optimize bridge latency for institutional‑grade use cases.
• Audit and review all bridge‑adjacent code changes before mainnet deployment.
• Define the roadmap for Bitcoin atomic‑swap expansion.
• Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure for bridge health.
• Coordinate external bridge audit engagements with the Blockchain Security Lead.

Required profile

• Production experience building or auditing cross‑chain bridges.
• Familiarity with HTLC, optimistic, or ZK bridging mechanisms.
• Security‑first mindset; bridge security is existential.
