Inventory & Equipment Specialist – IMEEA Region

About the role

The Inventory and Equipment Specialist for the IMEEA region will support the Logistics Department by managing equipment flow, container inventories, and budget implementation across depots and terminals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate equipment evacuation according to Head Office guidelines and regional priorities.
• Analyze forecasts and export requirements to ensure equipment availability and optimise fleet usage.
• Monitor container supply and demand, idle full and empty containers, dwell time and stock levels, proposing corrective actions when risks are identified.
• Collaborate with Agency Logistics, Operations, depots and terminals to reduce idle time, optimise storage, and improve cost efficiency.
• Identify vessel back‑loading opportunities and work with regional teams to maximise empty loading and discharge.
• Contribute to logistics cost optimisation, imbalance management, empty repositioning and storage cost reduction projects.
• Ensure proper use of CMA CGM logistics systems, compliance with procedures and accurate KPI reporting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly equipment reports with highlights and recommendations for regional management.
• Support process improvement by identifying business requirements and regional needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in container management or equipment flow within a shipping line or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
