Inventory Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

The Inventory Specialist ensures the availability, traceability and integrity of all mechanical, electrical and software‑related components used in workshop manufacturing, system integration, testing and field operations. The role bridges engineering, procurement and logistics to keep stock levels optimal and support seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain real‑time inventory records for off‑the‑shelf parts, raw materials and custom‑manufactured items.
• Organise storage areas, label items and prepare kits for assembly, integration and testing.
• Support field deployments by tracking equipment, spare parts and toolkits, and managing check‑in/check‑out processes.
• Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand, trigger replenishment and monitor supplier lead times.
• Ensure configuration and traceability of serialized components against engineering Bills of Materials.
• Use ERP and inventory management systems to record movements, generate reports and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in inventory, warehouse or materials management within a technical environment.
• Proven ability to handle mixed inventories of mechanical, electrical and electronic components.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM) and configuration management.
• Knowledge of mechanical parts, connectors, PCBs, cables and related hardware.
