Investigation Officer

About the role

The Investigation Officer will support Dubai Customs by planning, executing and reporting on investigations that protect the integrity of customs operations. This role involves gathering and analysing evidence from internal and external sources while ensuring compliance with UAE legal frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, record and review case files and attached documents to fully understand each case.
• Identify the chain of offenses, legal requirements, interview needs and evidence collection methods for each investigation.
• Prepare detailed investigation plans that outline parties involved, scope, interview questions, tentative dates, locations and legal necessities.
• Draft interview schedules, coordinate logistics and obtain necessary approvals from the team lead.
• Maintain comprehensive case documentation and ensure all evidence is properly stored.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to gather required information and evidence.
• Ensure all investigative activities adhere to the applicable UAE legal framework.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Investigation or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a legal executive or investigative role.
