Investment Banking Associate - MENA Coverage, Dubai

About the role

Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division in Dubai works with leading European financial institutions and handles domestic and cross-border transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, capital market deals and leveraged buyouts. Associates work on M&A and capital markets transactions and business development projects, interacting directly with senior financial and strategic decision-makers at large corporations and emerging growth clients. Key responsibilities

• Manage and assist in executing corporate finance transactions, including IPOs, M&A and strategic advisory
• Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research
• Contribute to team discussions and client meetings, and give rapid, accurate market judgments
• Prepare and deliver client presentations clearly and compellingly
• Act as a mentor and role model for analysts and promote team culture
• Work closely with senior bankers on the team and across other groups

Required profile

• Top-class Master's degree or overseas equivalent in finance or a related field from a leading university
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Relevant investment banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required
• Familiarity with the sector and corporate landscape is desirable
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts, and ability to analyse and value businesses
• Excellent oral and written communication, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise under tight deadlines
