About the role

The Irrigation Engineer will design, plan, and oversee water distribution projects that support agricultural productivity while conserving resources. Working closely with farmers, consultants, and environmental scientists, you will create sustainable irrigation solutions tailored to local conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient irrigation systems, including drip‑irrigation layouts.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate land suitability for irrigation.
• Collaborate with agricultural specialists to integrate water‑management practices.
• Monitor project performance and ensure compliance with regional standards.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure.
• Develop innovative methods to reduce water waste and improve soil health.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for material procurement and project execution.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation supporting project goals.
• Advise stakeholders on best practices for water resource management.
• Review environmental impact assessments and ensure adherence to federal guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, agricultural, or environmental engineering.
• Proven experience in irrigation design and water‑resource management.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural systems and their irrigation needs.
• Excellent project‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex data and solve problems in field settings.

Required skills
