Islamic Teacher for Non-Arabs (Cycle 1 & 2)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) at its Al Falah City campus in Abu Dhabi is seeking an inspiring Islamic Teacher for non‑Arab students in Cycle 1 (KG2‑Grade 2) and Cycle 2 (Grade 3‑Grade 5). The role involves delivering engaging Islamic Studies lessons that support spiritual growth while aligning with the school’s American curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Islamic Studies curriculum for students in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2, adapting content for non‑Arabic speakers.
• Integrate Islamic principles seamlessly within the American (Common Core/US Standards) framework and assess student progress using formative and summative methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Quranic Sciences or a related field, with an accredited teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, etc.).
• Minimum 2‑3 years full‑time experience teaching Islamic Studies to non‑Arab students, preferably in an American‑curriculum school.
• IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, attested academic documents and UAE Ministry of Education equivalency.
• Eligibility for an ADEK teacher licence and a recent police clearance.
