IT Coordinator (UAE National)

About the role

The IT Coordinator supports the execution of IT operations, initiatives and processes, and acts as custodian of the department's documentation, reporting and configuration database. The role coordinates and, in some cases installs, configures and operates common IT infrastructure such as networks, servers, storage, endpoints and external cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) to deliver services smoothly to users within Al Tayer. It also handles priority incidents and service requests, including trend reviews for allocation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support IT shared services and systems tasks, keeping the central team documentation up to date and ensuring sub-teams follow the process.
• Assist in reviewing and implementing policies and configurations into Al Tayer end-user systems, with subject matter experts.
• Coordinate end-to-end with business, IT teams and suppliers on assigned goals and targets.
• Handle priority 1 and priority 2 incidents and service requests, and create PowerPoint and Excel reports on daily operations.
• Assess hardware and application requirements, help acquire approved technology, and monitor progress against plans and projects.
• Coordinate hardware configuration and application testing, then carry out or coordinate server, PC, POS and peripheral installations and provide go-live support.
• Provide periodic reports on operations and high-priority concerns, and manage the configured ATG systems (configuration, administration and management).

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science from a recognised university.
• 0-2 years of experience in the IT industry in a multiuser commercial environment.
• ITIL certification.
