IT Engagement Lead

About the role

The IT Engagement Lead is responsible for building communications, engagement and upskilling capability across the IT function. This role creates a strategic communications plan that aligns with the IT strategy, improves transparency and drives a learning culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a single IT communications plan aligned with the IT strategy and portfolio.
• Establish communication frameworks, templates and governance for IT messaging.
• Create clear, engaging content such as SharePoint/intranet pages, town‑hall slides and CIO announcements.
• Translate complex technical or strategic topics into accessible, business‑friendly messaging.
• Coordinate regular IT communications including town‑halls and ensure alignment with corporate messaging.
• Gather feedback, monitor engagement and establish metrics to measure effectiveness of IT communications.
• Develop and maintain an IT‑wide upskilling plan and supporting learning content.
• Partner with programme and delivery teams on project‑driven, business‑facing change initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, change or upskilling within data, digital or technology functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work closely with corporate communications, marketing and learning teams.
• Proven ability to create compelling storytelling content and translate technical concepts.
