IT Engineering Manager — Endpoint, SaaS

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on IT Engineering Manager to own the Enterprise Applications domain for talabat employees in Dubai. The role combines deep technical execution on endpoint, SaaS and identity systems with people‑leadership of a small engineering team, operating with high autonomy across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and operate the endpoint fleet strategy for macOS and Windows using MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune, JumpCloud), including security baselines, patching, encryption and lifecycle management.
• Administer the core SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian), handling configuration, licensing, integrations and cost optimisation.
• Manage identity and access services (Okta, Entra, Google), overseeing SSO, MFA, Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver processes and periodic access reviews.
• Automate repetitive tasks with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and AI tooling to increase team capacity.
• Lead incident response and on‑call rotation, drive root‑cause analysis and ensure reliability and security by design.
• Define service standards, SLAs and ITSM workflows, and support compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Coach and develop a small engineering team, manage performance and grow capability while handling vendor relationships and procurement.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of experience in IT operations or engineering, preferably in large organisations (5,000+ users).
• Proven hands‑on expertise with MDM platforms, identity providers and SaaS administration.
• Strong scripting/automation skills and practical use of AI tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a small technical team.
• Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.
