IT Helpdesk / IT Support Specialist

About the role

Kara Express is seeking an IT Helpdesk / IT Support Specialist to provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to its Dubai office staff. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts and devices, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level support for hardware, software, network, printer and connectivity problems.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Set up and manage user and email accounts, access permissions and Active Directory basics.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, including LAN, Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and related documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including device and account provisioning.
• Coordinate with external vendors and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support or a similar role.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good English communication skills.
• Customer‑service orientation with the ability to work independently onsite.

Required skills

• Proficient with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365/Office applications.
• Hands‑on experience with PC hardware, printers, scanners and peripheral devices.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, LAN and VPN technologies.
• Familiarity with user account management and basic Active Directory concepts.
