IT Manager – Infrastructure, Data & Project Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join a growing engineering consultancy in Dubai. The role combines senior‑level ownership of IT infrastructure, cloud systems, Microsoft 365, data integration, business intelligence and digital project systems, while leading a small IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the IT setup and infrastructure for a new office supporting approximately 60 employees.
• Oversee servers, networking, hardware and systems infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, backups and disaster recovery.
• Manage Microsoft 365 administration, security, licensing and identity management.
• Mentor and manage a small IT team, providing direction on day‑to‑day support and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop integrations between finance, project management and other business systems and build API connections into Power BI.
• Create executive‑level Power BI dashboards and maintain scalable data models.
• Lead the technical development of digital project systems, building SharePoint automation, Power Automate workflows and Python scripts.
• Design automated project registers, approval workflows and document structures, and integrate Microsoft Project and other platforms.
• Assess and recommend technology and automation solutions as the business grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience with IT infrastructure, servers, backup and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Solid networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, switching, firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
• Microsoft 365 administration and Azure experience.
• Power BI data modelling and dashboard creation.
• SharePoint Online, Microsoft Lists and Power Automate expertise.
• Python scripting and REST/OData/Microsoft Graph API integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Identity and access management skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior IT professionals.
